UNIT A CONTRACT RATIFIED!

With a majority vote of 178-3, the Unit A contract for 2019-2022 has been ratified! The agreement will be signed and will take effect September 1, 2019.

A special thank you to the Negotiations Committee for the hours you put in to finalizing this agreement. And THANK YOU to all our members for the work you put in every single day. Enjoy the summer months with friends and family everyone.

Unit E Contract Ratified!

After today’s ratification vote, the proposed three-year contract between the School Committee and the CTA’s Unit E has been accepted with 64 votes to accept and 18 votes to reject. The contract retroactively takes effect September 1, 2018 and will be in effect until August 31, 2021.

A huge thank you to all our Unit E members for working so hard each and every day as well as your Negotiations Committee for tirelessly fighting for what you deserve.

URGENT: Special Meeting called on 6/18!

The Unit A Negotiations Committee has reached a one-year agreement on a contract for the 2018-2019 school year.  On Monday morning, June 18, 2018, there will be an urgent special meeting held at each school. Please attend to receive a copy of the Memorandum of Agreement stipulating the changes for the potential contract.  A representative from the Negotiations Committee will explain the Memorandum and answer any questions you may have.  The ratification vote will take place before and after school on Thursday, June 21, 2018.

FMLA Correction

If you are out for any reason under FMLA, the town must still pay their 75% share of health insurance.  It is only when you take an unpaid leave – outside FMLA or after using the 12 weeks of FMLA – when the time is considered an authorized unpaid leave of absence – that you the member must pay 100% of the health insurance premium.
