From Treasurer Deb Shaw:
We got a very nice note of thanks from New Hope for our donation of $900 to their foundation in memory of Elizabeth Cann. The note says: "We are extending appreciation on behalf of everyone here at New Hope, especially the people we serve: They, of course, will directly benefit from this thoughtfulness."
If you have been paying lump sum and want to switch to deductions or vice versa please let me know ASAP. I can be reached at GMS 821-5070 ext 163 or email me at deb.shaw22@gmail.com

What do you think?
The Massachusetts Board of Education is about to begin the difficult process of finding the state’s next Commissioner of Education. Before embarking on a nationwide search, Board members are seeking comment from members of the public on the following three questions:
What do you think are the major issues in public education today?
What characteristics do you think the next Commissioner should have?
What advice do you have for the Board as they begin this critical search?
The Board invited members of the public to participate in a public hearing on last Friday, October 5 in Gardner Auditorium at the Statehouse.
People who were unable to attend but who would like to comment are asked to submit their thoughts in writing to: masearch@nasbe.org.
